Alignments determine how units' attack strength is affected by the time of the day.
(The day is divided into six phases that last a single turn: Dawn, Morning, Afternoon, Dusk, First Watch (night), Second Watch (night) )

- Chaotic - Chaotic units do 25 % more damage at night, 25 % less during the day.
- Neutral - Neutral units's damage is unaffected by the time of day.
- Liminal - Liminal units do full damage at dawn and dusk, 25 % less during the day and at night.
- Lawful - Lawful units do 25 % more damage during the day, 25 % less at night.
In underground locations, the time of day is always night.
